Good Shepherd Catholic Boys’ Secondary School, Oyede is a Catholic-owned Educational Institute in Isoko-North Local Government area of Delta State. We offer a highly competitive educational package to our students in a serene and nature-friendly environment. Our standards are high, making us one of the leading providers of quality education in Nigeria. Our teachers are qualified, energetic, disciplined, friendly and enjoy doing their job.

Their ability to think outside the box has helped our students to be independent while focusing on their goals in life. This is not without the auspices of our Guidance and Counseling Department.

Founded in the year 2000 under the episcopacy of His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Richard Burke, Good Shepherd Catholic Boys’ Secondary School has waxed through the years to become one of the leading providers of functional education in the south of Nigeria. The school is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Warri and is mono-educational. We run a boarding school for Boys, guided by the Catholic Church to raise God-fearing, disciplined and a totally educated generation of young men who will be the leaders of tomorrow.

Tucked away in the quiet and serene environment of Oyede, Isoko-North Local Government area of Delta state, our school boasts of the conducive atmosphere necessary for teaching and learning. Our state of the art facilities help to increase the desire to learn and the ease to impart knowledge in our students and teachers respectively.

We have a well-equipped science laboratory, an ICT-compliant library, an ICT centre, classrooms with a fair teacher-to-student ratio, chapel, dormitories, different sports facilities, uninterrupted power supply, portable water, among others. We also have an effiecient laundry service, Health policy for students and an Health Insurance Scheme (HIS) (Salus Trust Ltd) for our staff. We have been in the fore-front in academic excellence since our inception, making the best of grades in internal and external examinations as well as competitions.

Our students have won the Pat Ikomi prize for Junior and senior secondary category respectively in Delta state. We have also won the National Cowbell Competition 2013 edition. Our students’ performance at the Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) organized by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO) has been overwhelming.

Over the years for example, all our students made the minimum five credits, including Mathematics and English, necessary for admission into Higher institutions. Our minimum grade in English Language have been C5. Recently, we had 96% and 100% passes in mathematics and English language where pupils had A1 and B2 grades. These academic feats have been repeated severally - our lowest grades have been a B3 in at least seven (7) subjects.

These excellent results have being made possible through the well-motivated and qualified members of staff and the cooperation of our parents and the students. Over the years, there have being testimonies of our students who are excelling in different walks of life both within and outside Nigeria. We are humbled to say we produced the best out of them. We therefore invite parents and guardians who are concerned about the holistic training of their wards to come and partner with us, a partnership that will be of immense benefit to all parties involved.
