1. Does GSCBoss offer the same curriculum as other Schools?
Yes, GSCBoss delivers the state approved and certified curriculum, just like State Government Schools and other private schools. The state based qualifications are recognized for university entry throughout Nigeria and around the world.

2. Is GSCBoss approved by the government?
Yes, GSCBoss is independently accredited by the appropriate government bodies overseeing standards in educational delivery. All are inspected regularly for quality assurance.

3. How long has GSCBoss been around?
GSCBoss was founded in the year 2000. Her anniversary is celebrated on October 13th.

4. Does GSCBoss have student’s accommodation?
Yes. The school has good boarding facilities for students. There are two modern hostel blocks with more than twenty-five dormitories.

5. What are GSCBoss school hours?
School is in session from 7:40am - 3:40pm.  Students are expected to leave their hostel building no later than 7:30am to ensure timely arrival to school. In between the period the school is in session, there is a break for snacks and another break for lunch. The school office is open from 7:30am – 3:30pm Mondays to Fridays except on some public holidays.

6. As a prospective Parent/Guardian or Student, how can I locate GCSBoss?
GCSBoss is located at Oyede town in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.

7. How can one purchase GSCBoss admission form?
GSCBoss admission forms can be purchased, at N5,000.00 only, from the following venues:
-  The school’s office
-   Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Secondary School, Effurun
-   Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, Effurun
-   Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Nursery/Primary School, Ughelli
-   Our Lady of Apostles Nursery/Primary School, Sapele

8. Is there accommodation for members of staff?
Yes. There is a staff quarters in the school compound where some members of staff reside.

9. Does GSCBoss offer any special courses for international students within the Nigerian School program?
Yes. To cater for our international students we offer ESL (English as a Second Language) and a French as native/foreign language programs to help international students gain the required level of English and French if their current language level does not qualify them for direct entry admission to a higher school.

10. Any other help for international students?
Yes. GSCBoss also offers free tutorials, time-table daily for each subject. Tutorials allow students to gain extra help from teachers, on an individual or small group basis. Each student is also assigned a mentor who is trained to support students' academic development and personal well being. In addition, GSCBoss provides comprehensive booklets which guide students through the content of a course. They are provided for each subject and give students details of curriculum and assessment tasks, supplementary course materials, learning support, additional exercises, practice examinations and lots more.

11. What is the best way to contact my son’s teacher/mentor?
The best way is to be around during open days. Open days are days were parents have one-on-one talk with the teachers/mentors of their children/wards.

12. Is there a dress code at GSCBoss?
Yes. The students are expected to put on their uniform with their tie and dress shoes, during school hours, and their house wear [cheek shirt and shorts/trousers] after school hours. Also members of staff [teaching and administrative] are corporately dressed during school hours.

13. Can students drive their cars to school?
No. The school is strictly a boarding school and as such, students are not expected to leave the school premises. It is the parents that drive/bring the students to school.

14. Are students allowed to use their mobile phones in GSCBoss?
No. Students are not allowed to use their personal mobile phones in the school. However, students have access to the school’s mobile phone which they can use for calls or to send SMS.

15. What extra-curricular activities are offered besides sports?
GSCBoss prides itself in its award-winning extra-curricular offerings. Some examples are: Student Representative Council, Arts Club, The Press Club, Literary and Debate Club, Dramatic Club, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics [STEM] Club, Music and Choral Club etc,.

17. How/Where do I voice my concerns?
You can voice your concerns to the Principal through the Administrative Secretary or through the Dean of Studies.  You can also have a discussion with the school Guidance Counselor.

13. What is the difference between September intakes (Admission) and other months’ intake for students?
There is no difference but, those admitted in September have the advantage of starting the academic session on a good footing.

18. When does GSCBoss close her admission?
Admissions usually close after the third week of the new session. However, a prospective student may still be admitted if the management considers it worthwhile.

19. Does GSCBoss accept forecast results for admission?
Yes. This is because the school management appreciates the fact that the result of a prospective student may not have been released before the student seeks admission. However, it is expected that such student forward the result before the beginning of the academic session.

20. How is GSCBoss different from other Schools?
GSCBoss is different from other schools because in GSCBOSS there is holistic formation and individualized attention to every student. 

21. Is there a COVID-19 emergency response plan or measure in place for now?
GSCBoss has a working and efficient COVID-19 emergency response plan and measures to combat the infection if any. We also make sure laid down rules and regulations governing COVID-19 spread are obeyed by all staff and students including those visiting our school.

Our students have won the Pat Ikomi prize for Junior and senior secondary category respectively in Delta state. We have also won the National Cowbell Competition 2013 edition. Our students’ performance at the Senior School Certificate Examinations(SSCE) organised by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO) has been overwhelming.
Skill & Craft Development
Good Shepherd Catholic Boys’ Secondary School, cultural festival is celebrated yearly on the school playground with parents, pupils, dignitaries and other invited guests from within and outside the state.

It is an avenue where all tribes and cultures in Nigeria showcase their colourful attires, beliefs and way of life using dance, dress code and drama as a way of identification.

The yearly event puts together the best of our cultural heritage (dance and drama) from all classes of GSCBoss. Invitees and special guests from all branches of Catholic Diocese in Delta State are always in attendance.
Fitness & Sports Activities
Here at GSCBoss, sport is a vital part of our academic structure. We build on pupils capacity by way of conducting a competitive athletics meeting of all school houses for pride and honour.

The yearly event puts together the best in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and relay race. Other events such as short put, javelin, long jump and high jump are also contested.

As usual, the event is always graced by elites of the society, parents, guardians, old students and special guests from all parts of the state.
Morality & Faith
Our daily mass service is aimed at putting pupils inclined to God in prep. for academic work. X-Mass Carol at GSCBoss is an event held on every second or third week of December before vacation. This event is highly graced by clerics from the highest authorities of our Dioceses.

Each December event puts together the best in lessons and rhymes from the season's collections of adorable songs. Pupils are also given the opportunity to showcase their talent on stage through songs and drama that signifies the birth of Jesus Christ.

Food, Health & COVID-19 Response Plan
We make sure our food (meals) are well prepared by our qualified catering service. Meals served are prepared in well organized and germ-free zones.

As a sign and rule for efficiency in the catering department, all staff (principal inclusive) feed from the daily meals prepared and served by the caterers.

These meals are well planned for nutritional requirements and the bodily development of our pupils.
